Growths are aggressive creatures found in Plains, specifically in Tar pits. They, like Blobs and Oozers, are large, gelatinous piles of sentient tar that emit poisonous black gasses.

• Growths in the tar can be difficult to discern from a distance. Three or more growths may loosely surround the player, dealing high damage.
• They are hostile to other Plains creatures, which makes luring them into Deathsquitos, Fulings or Lox a viable strategy to killing or distracting them. Lox will usually make quick work of them with their powerful AOE attacks.
