Drake

Drakes are aggressive creatures found in the Mountains. They are slender, legless frost dragons with ice-blue scales and four horns. Drakes are the male offspring of their mother, Moder.

• Originally introduced as a "Dragon Hatchling",^[2] they were renamed to "Drakes" before release.^[3] Drakes are still referred to in game files as a "Hatchling".
• Drakes have a maximum chase distance of 200m from their spawn position. After that they will drop aggro more easily.
• You are likely to find drakes close to a dragon egg protecting it.
• The drops from drakes are unusually valuable. Their frost glands, glowing blue objects dropped on death, are necessary for all frost-based weapons and foods, and their trophy is used to make the helmet for Wolf Armor.
• Appearance-wise, they greatly resemble an Amphiptere, a winged, legless type of dragon, in stark contrast to Moder who resembles a huge wyvern.
• Drakes may be weak to fire, however because of the massive damage difference between Fire arrows and Obsidian arrows, Obsidian are stronger (Fire totaling 44 and Obsidian totaling 52)
  • This does not make their fire weakness useless, as Fire arrows make a good replacement if you don't have Obsidian arrows yet or just to save materials.
