Geyser is a point of interest found in Swamp biomes that contains 3 Surtling spawn points and a geyser which provides Fire Effect. Each Surtling respawns 5 minutes after it has been killed. The spawn points are suppressed by Player base structures.

The terrain around the fire geysers can be lowered through a hoe or pickaxe without destroying the geyser or the Surtling spawn points. With the geyser fully submerged in water, Surtlings that spawn will die almost immediately after spawning, allowing the player to farm Coal and Surtling cores.

Notes[]

  • Surtlings spawned from the geyser on average (based on the different star ratings and drop chances) on average drop about .8 Surtling cores, and 4.9 coal. With 3 spawning every 5 minutes, results in around .48 Surtling cores a minute, and 2.94 Coal a minute.
  • While it may be a good idea to build around the geyser for a farm, make sure to double check that there aren't any Player base structures to block the spawns once you are done building. Check the list to make sure you aren't blocking spawns.
  • Because Player Base structures can't be used close to the farm items can despawn. This and the slow rates mean it may be better to check the farm every once in a while rather than afking.
