The Fire Effect is an effect in Valheim.
General information[]
Granted when in close proximity to a heat source. The Fire Effect removes cold and freezing effects as well as reduces the duration of the wet effect 10 times faster.
If there are no hostile creatures nearby, sitting while having the fire effect will cause the player to begin resting, with a comfort level of 1. Once the player is under shelter however, the fire effect no longer provides additional comfort. Instead however, the fire effect along with the shelter effect both allow the player to experience the resting effect without sitting, whilst gaining at least comfort level 2 due to shelter. Only the campfire and hearth will provide additional comfort along with the fire effect, providing 1 and 2 comfort respectively.
