Dvergr Lighthouses are one of the types of Dvergr structures located throughout the Mistlands, often near the coast. A tower made mostly of Black marble, it is one type of Dvergr structure and is home to Dvergr rogues and mages. Each Dvergr Lighthouse contains a Dvergr component crate, an important crafting component for progression.

Location[]

Dvergr Lighthouses are found in the Mistlands.

Description[]

Dvergr Lighthouses are buildings made mostly of Black marble with Dvergr-style Wood and Copper supports and adornments. They are surrounded by Dvergr sharp stakes and have Blue jute hangings around their outer walls. They each have a Hexagonal gate at their entrance, and have one or more blue mist-dispelling lights around their exteriors plus a larger one in the center of their upper floor, where it can be easily seen from the outside, even at a distance. Additionally, Dvergr Lighthouses have Dvergr lanterns hanging on walls or laying on surfaces (where they can be picked up), and various kinds of Dvergr furniture, including exactly one Dvergr component crate each.

The lower floor of the lighthouse may contain several pieces of Dvergr furniture (which are unusable by players), including a Dvergr Ward protecting the structure, up to three beds, a stool, a table, and a chair. Up to three Dvergr lanterns may spawn on this floor, and one Dvergr tankard may sometimes be found atop the table.

The upper floor of the lighthouse may be reached via a black marble staircase which runs up the inner walls of the structure. It may contain a Dvergr table, stool, and chair. A Dvergr tankard may sometimes be found atop this table as well. This floor also contains a Dvergr component crate. There is no roof access from inside the lighthouse.

The Dvergr Lighthouse can be easily distinguished from the similar Dvergr Guard Tower by the presence of the large, blue, mist-dispelling light inside its second floor. Additionally, the lighthouse always has two floors, while several of the guard tower variants are single-story. Finally, guard towers never have a black marble staircase leading upward from the ground floor.

Notes[]

  • One of the Dvergr lanterns which may spawn on the lower floor of the lighthouse is located atop a Dvergr stool, at the back of the room by the beds and ward. However, neither the lantern(s) nor the stool are guaranteed to spawn on this floor, and the presence of the lanterns are determined independently from the presence of the stool. Thus, it is possible for the stooltop lantern to spawn without the stool atop which it is supposed to sit; in this case, it merely floats in the air.
  • Like other Dvergr structures, the Dvergr Lighthouse may be destroyed or deconstructed to yield various valuable materials. However, doing so can be very dangerous: Since the Lighthouse is protected by a Dvergr Ward, any damage done to any part of the structure by a player will instantly anger all nearby Dvergr, causing them to become hostile and attack nearby players. However, if the structure is damaged by non-player sources, such as Gjall or Seekers, the Dvergr will not become aggressive towards the player.
    • The wooden and metal supports of the structure as well as the Dvergr furniture can provide Wood and/or Copper scrap when destroyed. The Dvergr metal walls in the windows and the hanging lanterns can provide Copper; the latter may alternatively provide Surtling cores. The Dvergr door may provide Yggdrasil wood and/or Copper.
    • Like other Dvergr structures, the Dvergr Lighthouse is always in a state of disrepair, with each individual component (including furniture) being damaged by a random amount. This contributes to their weathered appearance, but also makes them often surprisingly easy to destroy parts of, even with the Dvergr Ward intact.
