Battering rams are siege engines with a slight resemblance to Carts but are significantly larger in size and have two long punching mechanisms at the front, which are intended to be used to destroy structures at close range. They need Wood or Ashwood in order to function. They can destroy any structure that is able to receive damage, including Charred Fortresses doors and walls. But it can also be used to mine any resource nodes located in the open world that is able to receive pickaxe damage (Such as rocks, copper and tin veins, etc).

Usage[]

The player must load the Battering ram with Wood or Ashwood in the fuel slot located at the back, which has a maximum capacity of 25. After doing so, the player must operate the ram by standing in front of it (where the dual-hammers are) and "use" it while standing between the pair of smaller arms, very similarly to the cart. This allows the player to steer and move it while the hammers will automatically attack every few seconds. If a player is not actively using the ram while being loaded with fuel, it will not attack, but the fuel will continue to be consumed.

Notes[]

  • Using the ram to destroy fortress doors or walls while there are enemies inside can easily trap the player between the ram and the army of enemies, where they may be quickly overwhelmed. In order to let go of the ram, the player must use it again just like they would do with the cart: By looking down at the ram and "use" to drop it, or dodge-roll to break out. A Catapult might be required to destroy the spawners inside the fortress before attempting to breach the doors/walls in order to significantly reduce the amount of defending enemies.
  • Each punch from the Battering ram deals exactly 600 pickaxe damage and 0 chop damage.
  • A unit of fuel is consumed every 20 seconds. A completely fueled ram would last a total of 500 seconds (8.33 minutes).
  • While it is intended to be used against structures during sieges, Battering rams are extremely efficient mining engines. With each punch dealing massive pickaxe damage on a significant area around the punches, it can very easily break down any stone or metal resource node to which the ram has access to in a very short time. This includes Copper deposits, Silver veins, Giant remains, and any giant rock found throughout the world.
