The Eitr refinery is a structure used for processing Sap Sap and Soft tissue Soft tissue into Refined eitr Refined eitr.

Building[]

Eitr refinery is unlocked once the player has the required materials. A Blackmetal axe is required to obtain Yggdrasil wood, and a Sap Extractor is required to obtain Sap. The sap extractor requires a Dvergr extractor obtained from Dvergr component crates in Dvergr settlements. Infested Mines must also be explored to obtain Black cores.

Eitr refineries can be constructed on flat terrain or on stone floors, and don't degrade from rain.

Usage[]

Up to 20 Sap can be supplied into the funnel at the front of the refinery, and up to 20 Soft tissue can be inserted into the grinder at the top. It's possible to climb to the top of the grinder, but constructing stairs makes accessing it easier. The resulting refined eitr is ejected from the tube next to the sap input, opposite the grinder.

The sap:soft tissue ratio is roughly 20:20. Each sap (acting as a fuel) adds 40 seconds, and the operating time on a full fuel tank is 800 seconds. But filling both the Sap and Soft tissue slots to the max will consume 20 Soft tissue and 19 Sap to produce 20 Refined eitr, leaving 1 Sap (probably due to a round-off error).

While processing, small discharges are emitted from the structure, inflicting Lightning and Poison Damage over time. The eitr dropped on the ground will also emit these discharges, which will eventually damage and destroy structures not immune to elemental damage. Structures immune to elemental damage include iron and copper cage pieces, and Black marble floor/wall/pillars. Wood and ordinary stone structures will take damage.

Notes[]

  • As with other Mistlands-tier structures and items, this can theoretically be obtained before building a Wisp fountain, but navigation is made difficult by the intense mist.
