However, I still loved this one. And I'm going to tell you why. These times are stressful for most of us and I just loved curling up with this book and enjoying it for an hour. A cup of tea and sitting in my favourite armchair and for a moment I was just lost in this book.
So, thank you for bringing us this little book, it's all I needed.
I have to say that while I follow Catana, lately her posts were not showing up on my feed and therefore I can say that I did not see the majority of these comics, therefore, it all felt like new content to me. Which made it more fun....more

I recently had an ARC for I Hope This Helps by Tommy Siegel and while that was not the biggest hit with me, in my review I said that my favourite parts from the book were those which included the candy hearts. So, of course, I could not pass on this one.
And I was not disappointed. It was a very quick read. Very clear, concise and straight to the point/punch line.
It took the best from I Hope This Helps and gave it it's own space. It feels more neet, that there is something connecting all the comics.
So, if you are trying to decide which Tommy Siegel book to get, I would recommend Candy Hearts. But! I have to say that it only shows a part of his cartoon style. (Though, in my opinion, the best). Which means that if you like this still does not mean you will like all of his other work or the other way around. This is more of a sample....more

I was obsessed with his videos for years, it always fascinated me how far he can go with these scammers, and they still continue.
Most of the stories were previously told by James in one of his videos; however, it did have more details here in the book. But probably my favourite part of his videos is how he delivers them which of course you cannot have in the book except when I was reading the stories with his voice in my head.
Btw, why is it always Western Union?
Anyway, I loved it! Had a few good laughs. I will definitely re-read several of these. The Snail-farm and the novel are always my favourites. (Plus Mary Gary, China Jewelry Corp and Unsubscribing). And if you are reading this and you do not know who James Veitch, then please, find his videos on Youtube....more

However, I always only followed the comics online; I did not read any of the previous books. But I can certainly say that this is one of the best from online comics to a book I've ever read. I did not expect to get whole stories (over several pages long) instead of the usual short comic strips. And it was so well done. And I believe this is completely new content, I never saw any of these stories only before this. Every chapter tells a story of a different person which is illustrated in The Awkward Yeti fashion (favourite moment was when one image describe what was supposed to be there and then said: above the artistic abilities of the creator - I just loved that.)
It all started so well. The first story was a great start, and I knew this will go very well. It still is one of my favourite moments together with the kidney stones in the amateur geologist story and where's Waldo?
However, there were certain stories that were absolutely terrifying to me. Like the lawn-mover and I cannot imagine how anyone could think that could be a good idea! Anyway, I'm actually a bit impressed. I never saw a land-mower which would be easy to pick up. And then Chapter 15, the bane of my existence, I would be happy if I never had to think about it, my insides twisted when reading that chapter! On a different note, I was a bit sadden by the mother who freaked out because her child was teething, how did she expect the child to acquire teeth? Was she saving to buy dentures for the child?
Yeah, this was so worth it! Loved it. However, there is one way to make this more perfect! Dr. Mike (Varshavski) needs to make a video reacting to thins!

Oh, I had no idea that this book was happening. I previously enjoyed the first book very much but for some reason this art sort of disappeared from my facebook. In the past, it used to flood my feed but thinking about it; I did not see one in a very long time. So, I was a bit surprised, seeing this book, since I did not hear any news about it being published.
And you can bet that I almost knocked over my laptop trying to open it fast enough.
Overall I was very pleasantly surprised! Since these comics stopped showing on my facebook, I can say that I knew only three before reading this. And trust me, it made it just so much better!
What I love about these is that they are super relatable; it just seems like my life, it gives me the illusion of normalcy. What can I say, my limbs are currently cold, and I'm hungry — the story of my life. At least I'm not the only one suffering the same fate.
This was a wonderful surprise and with a puppy as a bonus! What's not to like? Plus, I also like the cover, it's in such a stark contrast with the first book. Pretty, pretty....more

Oh no might be simple in the visual field (still better than any my attempts to draw something resembling a human being). But it somehow connects well with the content. The fatality and pathos. It fits way better than some elaborated and detailed drawing. And I always call myself pink blob on a bad day, easy to relate.
Sometimes you as the reader dread to turn the page because you fear what you will see there. It is a window into our own lives. We all are guilty of more than one thing included in this comic.
It started with me thinking "yes, I know this so well" and going to the fact that I started to think that something is wrong with my life? It was a nice short, funny comic.

Well hello, I'm very pleasantly surprised here! Sometimes I have a little problem with these comic strips which were first published online and then in a book version. Because I see so many of them online, the book becomes unnecessary with nothing new, redundant if you will.
But, I do not know if it's because I did not follow Safely Endangered that closely, I can say that I was only familiar with two or three drawings from this comics!
And I thoroughly enjoyed the rest! I laughed at the most horrible things and giggled at the cutest things ever! I love the land octopus! That's such a clever idea! (Though I have to say my brother's girlfriend who hates spiders was not impressed by it. 😂)
I loved the pacing of this comic where it did not seem like the strips were too much on one note. It had a great flow, lots of different topics.
I can already say that I will be coming back to this comics....more

Guys? I'm not even sorry for loving this. I have to say that I'm probably eating too many avocados to be good. (Saying this while watching the four beauties ripe.)
This is a short and illustrated full of puns, very easy to understand even for not a native speaker. There is not much to say about this other than that this is a funny gift for people obsessed with avocados. Also, the drawings were rather cute.
There is not much to say so I'll share my favourites.
AVOCUDDLE - I really want a cuddle with an avocado... or ten.

This is probably one of the funniest books in the series. I had a sheet mask while reading this, and I kept smiling, so it was not sitting right around my mouth! 😂
I really like Misa (not only because she is my namesake) but because she's childish, impulsive and a bit unpredictable. I love it that Light is suddenly forced to make his plans around this ball of energy that is only bound to explode! It is so much fun. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. Not really. 😂
And Light versus L, so much fun to watch their back and forth! And I love it when you think that one of them made a fabulous move only to be overplayed by the other one.

Which is actually good because I enjoyed more this way.
However, I need to rate this one 3,5/5⭐ for all the reasons stated below ⬇.
“I think I might have seen pride in Dad’s eyes. Or maybe it was just a gleam of Why is my offspring so insane?”
This may be slightly spoilerish.
I still find it strange that the Casnoffs simply knew everything. I wanted/waited for someone to be a traitor and was giving them information. (view spoiler)[I always thought that it was Cal because that would make sense and would explain a lot of things. But now, he is only a goood guy that stupidly dies without any good reason. (hide spoiler)]
The end regarding Elodie was laughable! I want Elodie from the first book.
I waited for L´occhio de Dio to appear and maybe them to work together? “Right. So no plans at all then?" Jenna frowned. "Other than rocking in the fetal position for a while?" "Yeah, I was thinking about taking one of those showers where you huddle in the corner fully clothed and cry," Archer offered.”
I want more Mercer/Cross! (view spoiler)[I love them together so much, but they actually did not have a lot of space as a couple on the page. I need more! (hide spoiler)]
I really liked this series and even this book. But the problem was that in this one you could really feel how much it was rushed! It needed a hundred more pages. Or another book because so much was stuffed together that I could not really enjoy all of it. There are so many questions! I need more on Hex Hall, the Council, the Brannicks, Mercer/Cross, James/Grace, L´occhio de Dio and even more on Casnoffs! Yeah, so, me being me, I had to read this one. And I sort of wish I did not. Or I wish it was about Batman instead of a Badman.
I don't even know where this book went wrong for me. I do not have many triggers points, this book definitely has a lot of those, but those were not an issue for me, except that I found the plot really annoying. Here is a little run down for you if you are interested. (view spoiler)[You get the girl sold off to a stranger. She sleeps with him right away. You get cheating. She gets kidnapped. She gets pseudo-raped. (Sorry, for calling it that but the author put so much emphasis on the fact that she actually liked it even when she hated it...) All that while pregnant. Then she gets slapped by her husband. Oh, and then the said husband leaves his wife because she did not fight the rape/not-rape. (hide spoiler)] I don't know where exactly to go with this. But the thing is, while I know many people who would hate those things and would consider them a deal-breaker in a book, it's not the point where the book went for me.
But the things that killed me were:
- Maxim's English was perfect but then suddenly turning into a caveman with broken English and don't start with me that he is Russian and speaking in a different language can be hard sometimes. It is hard, but you do not go from a speaking flawlessly to pre-school sentences. That's insulting and rather annoying even to read. - Sorry, was this supposed to be a breading fantasy? - I love a good mafia book/series, but please let the characters be really evil and not have the whole Bratva caring whether he's treating his wife right. - And I do not really know what else to say. Just that sometimes I had problems not to laugh aloud at a somewhat serious situation.
I almost forgot the most important thing. My Russian is not the best; I'm nowhere near fluent. But even I know that the author managed to butcher the bit of Russian that was included! And that made my blood boil! If you want a character speaking a different language in your book and it is a language you do not know then go and find someone who does speak said language. Because as far as I'm concerned the Russian was plucked straight out of Google Translator, and that is disappointing, to say the least....more

I adore Ian; I always did, he was my favourite character. Thought that the way he was treated by his friends was uncalled for. Come on, they only had to ask, and he stood by them. But no, they stilled douted him.
“Did you think (view spoiler)[an exchange of blood and some vows (hide spoiler)] would change who I am? Nothing will...
Ha! I feel that this is a bit of a dig at people who worried that Ian wouldn't be the same! Pretty clever.
My main fear was that Ian wouldn't be the same wicked, vulgar Ian we got in the original series. Look at what happened to Vlad. I don't need a hero that is basically a doormat for the heroine. But, I'm surprised to say that actually, he remains the same. Mostly. For now.
But where I liked Veritas before and was actually excited for her to be the heroine, I'm not pretty disappointed. (view spoiler)[1) She's 4000 years old and suddenly behaving like a school girl. 2) I was really happy that she was the traditional "bombshell". I liked that she was small and tiny. But suddenly it's described as a "waif" like. Cute but not really that much... Seriously? I don't remember anyone in the original series mentioning her appearance as a waiflike. And then, boom, her actual appearance is this curvy, statuesque woman. I'm a bit disappointed by that. It would be nice if the character was a bit different than what you usually get. And especially since I was given the promise of this tiny not traditionally sexy character. I really wanted that. So, yeah, I feel let down! 3) She started to feel a bit flat in terms of her character. Who is she? Why? I don't really get her. (hide spoiler)]
Liked the storyline, there was a lot happening. Easy to read. Great pacing. Saw a different part of the world. And then the end came. And I was let down again. (view spoiler)[Amnesia should be forbidden! It's lazy, lazy, lazy! These are the bad guys for a reason. There is no turning them good; they will always do what they want. And I'm really getting annoyed with the "bad guy equals a coward." It's like if they want to show the world black and white.

Okay, so, since I re-read the second book, I thought it might be fun to continue with this one. I still think that the second book was the best in the series. However, I have to say that I enjoyed the mayhem Feyre caused at the beginning of the series was just so much fun to watch. Plus the meeting between the High Lords was also quite entertaining.
I don't have much to say other than that I need more of Helion and probably controversial opinion, but I need more on Eris.
Original: Well, this was a weekend full of A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I can say that I have never read that many pages that fast.
Yeah, I surrender, I liked this whole series.
I'll again have several points:
-Can people, please, stop vomiting in this series?! Seriously, I could not count how many someone vomited or said that something made them vomit or that they wanted to vomit. I get it; it's hard, but... not a fan.
-Where I usually say that the second book in a trilogy is the weakest, I don't think this is a case of this series where I believe the second book is the strongest.
-Because this has 700 pages and where it was fun to read, I think 100 pages should have been cut because sometimes it was just repetition and prolonging it. I don't really think we need to be reminded that Feyre and Rhys are mates. We. Get. It.
-I loved Rhys in the first book, so I'm a bit disappointed. I wanted him to be more wicked!
-(view spoiler)[You are going to hate me a bit but... the ending was a bit of just too much happy, sloppy unicorns riding on rainbows. (hide spoiler)] Just a bit.
- The SURIEL deserved BETTER!
- IANTHE deserved WORSE!
- Can I say that I'm a bit in love with Helion? I would love to see more of him. And actually, of the other lords, I had so much fun reading about their meeting. This kind of politics I like.
- One of my problems were Feyre's sisters. Where I finally started to like them in the last book, I really disliked them in this one. Especially Nesta, can someone stuff her in a Cauldron? I get it, she had a traumatic experience and everything, but her behaviour was not okay even before all that. So a hard no for me.
- (view spoiler)[I really disliked the revelation about Mor and Azriel. She let him hope for 500 years? Not okay. Which leads me to a sudden surge of LGBT characters. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with having those characters there but them suddenly surging in the third book makes me wonder. First two books nothing and now Nephelle, Helion, Thesan and then Mor. It just seemed strange that it was not even hinted anywhere in the rest of the series... Since I did not follow SJM before, did she got some backlash for not enough diversity in her books? (hide spoiler)]
-Yeah, I still dislike Tamlin, nothing has changed from the first book. And honestly, I had so much fun with Feyre's little revenge at the beginning. He deserved all of it. (view spoiler)[Because he's seriously abusing partner. And that's never alright. (hide spoiler)]
-I liked that SJM included all of that. Showing that it's normal that you may fall in love with someone who seems to be a prince charming only to turn into an abuser.
-Where I liked Lucien so much in the first book and disliked him in the second, I don't have much of an opinion on him in this one. Somewhere in the middle.
-Don't know what to say about Elain. Only that (view spoiler)[I don't get her being Lucien's mate. Azriel would make so much more sense. (hide spoiler)]
-Is it wrong that I would like to see more of Eris? I sort of like that guy. Yeah, he's a cruel, power-hungry brute but... there is a certain appeal to him.
-My favourite moment? (view spoiler)[The WTF moment where I had no idea if Tamlin is on the good side or Jurian is. I was speechless. But, I wish that one of them was the bad guy. Sort of disappointed that all of them turned out to be low-key supporting the good side. Let someone be a traitor. (hide spoiler)]
- What happened on page 666 is sort of poetic that it happened on that page. Wonder if it was done on purpose.
- I liked Amren and Varian.
Tarquin cringed. “We’ll alternate who has to deal with them on holidays.”
-I would like it if the Ouroboros was more. That it had a bigger role in the story.
- I know that the series is getting three more books, but I do not know what I think about that. When a series is extended, I'm usually left disappointed. So, I'm not exactly certain if I want to read it but... I guess I'll have to wait and see. But because I thought that this is just a trilogy, I expected it to be resolved in this book. This... I'm not entirely okay with it. But as I said, I have to wait and see....more
