The historic Christian churches long established in Iran are the Armenian Apostolic Church, the
Assyrian Church of the East and the Chaldean Catholic Church, all of which hold their services in their own languages--Armenian, Assyrian and Chaldean.

Assyrian Church. Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Greek Orthodox John X Yazigi did not join the conclave.
According to a Presidential release said that Masum received today a delegation from the East
Assyrian Church, headed by Patriarch Georges III, accompanied by a number of bishops in Iraq , America, India and Iran, where the President of the Republic congratulated Patriarch Georgis III on the occasion of his inauguration Patriarch of the East
Assyrian Church, welcoming the return of the church to Iraq.
