Mythic Essence is a currency used to unlock Mythic tier content introduced in V12.6.[1]
Obtaining Mythic Essence[]
10 Mythic Essence is granted every 50 levels starting at 150 through the leveling system. Hextech Chests have a 3.6% chance of dropping 10 Mythic Essence and Masterwork Chests have a 4.2% chance of dropping 5 Mythic Essence.[2]
Masterwork Milestones grant Mythic Essence in a repeating track based on the amount of Masterwork Chests opened: 5 ME at 5, 10, 15, and 20 chests opened and 10 ME at 25 chests opened.[3] During Skin Showcases, Mythic Essence is granted through Loot Milestones based on the amount of capsules opened: 5 ME at 3 capsules opened, 15 ME at 5 capsules opened, 20 ME at 10 capsules opened, 25 ME at 15 capsules opened, and 30 ME at 20 and 25 capsules opened.[4]
25 Mythic Essence can be earned through Event Passes, with some events awarding a higher amount of essence.[5] 125 Mythic Essence may also be purchased with 2200 event-exclusive currency.

Mythic Shop[]
Players can spend their Mythic Essence in the Mythic Shop, an exclusive shop featuring Mythic tier content such as Mythic and Prestige skins. Content within the Mythic Shop rotates every few patches, with Mythic content rotating approximately every 6 patches and Prestige content rotating approximately every 2 patches.
Mythic skins are priced at 100 ME during their debut and 125 ME during subsequent unvaults. Each season features a new Mythic-exclusive thematic, with a new Mythic skin debuting at the start of each rotation alongside 2 unvaulted Mythic skins. Mythic chromas for Legendary and Mythic skins are also available for 40 ME, with the exclusive feature of recoloring a skin's visual effects. Mythic chromas rotate approximately every 2 patches.
Prestige skins are priced at 125 ME during their debut, 150 ME during their second unvault, and 200 ME during subsequent unvaults. 2 Prestige skins are unvaulted every rotation, any Prestige skin can enter the rotation once it has been released for at least 1 year. Prestige skins that debut during Skin Showcases directly enter the Mythic Shop and stay for 2 patches before being vaulted. Purchasing an unvaulted Prestige skin through the Mythic Shop will NOT grant their border and icon.
