Location:An hour north of Dayton, in the southwest corner of the state.
Facilities:115 campsites (without electricity), group camp, camper cabin, picnic areas, picnic shelters, hiking trails (5 miles), swimming beach, boat ramps, boat rentals, docks, game courts, playgrounds, nature center.
Activities:Camping, boating (no motors permitted), sailing, fishing, swimming, scuba diving, hiking, hunting, ice skating, sledding, cross-country skiing, ice boating, ice fishing.
Special Features:During the ice age, when ice edge remained stationary for a period of time, it created a linear ridge along its front, called a moraine. The Farmersville Moraine surrounds the lake on three sides, and contains boulders, some weighing several tons, carried from as far away as Canada. Called erratics, these boulders are a common sight at Kiser.
