Kiselev, Iakov Semenovich

 

Born Nov. 15 (27), 1896, in Ekaterinoslav (now Dnepropetrovsk). Soviet attorney. He fought in the Civil War of 1918–20. In 1922 he graduated from Moscow State University. He began his career as an attorney in 1923, becoming in the next year a member of the lawyers’ collegium of Leningrad, to whose presidium he was repeatedly elected. Kiselev has written on the Soviet bar. His awards include the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and medals.
