The competitions kicked off on March 04 at the Olympics sports complex in the Kish Island, and wrapped up on Tuesday with the Iranian Kish Free Zone Organization's taekwondo team overcoming all the other participating teams.

The unveiling ceremony was held with the attendance of Iran's Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari and Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, Head of Kish Free Zone Organization.

Expressing satisfaction with the course of providing infrastructures and drilling, NIOC's top executive said: it is expected Kish Free Zone Organization to pay its debt to NIOC on time in order to enable the company to speed up early production program.

The event is co-organized by Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kish Free Zone Organization, Science and Technology Vice-Presidency, National Institute of Health Research, and World Health Summit.

Managing director of the Kish Free Zone Organization, reminding that it is easier to import and export goods in free zones than other areas, stressed that with proper management, Iran should be able to seize this opportunity.

The spokesman of Iran's Kish Free Zone Organization, Saeed Razaqi, said that Turkish private sector is interested in opening new direct flight between Istanbul and Kish Island.

In a meeting with the Turkish investors, Managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization gave a detailed elaboration of the advantages and potentials of investment in the region`s various economic fields.

He said that after the successful hold of the previous three rounds of international Iran Air Shows, the Kish Trade Promotion Center fully supported by Kish Free Zone Organization intends to hold the fourth edition of the said exhibition with cooperation of the Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CAO-IRI) from 28 to 31 October 2008 in Kish Island.

Kish Air belongs to Kish Free Zone Organization and currently has 14 planes, including 2 Airbus-320, 2 Airbus-321, seven MD planes and 3 Fokker-100 planes.
