Wike made the pledge on Thursday when he handed over 40 Patrol Vans fitted with Communication Gadgets to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), See 4 Eye, Police Anti-Kidnapping, Police Anti-Cultism, Federal Road Safety Corps and Eagle Crime at the Government House Port Harcourt.

Governor Wike said this on Thursday, during the handing over ceremony of the over 40 patrol vans fitted with communication gadgets to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), C4I, Police Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Police Anti-Cultism Unit, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and Eagle Crime at the Government House, Port Harcourt.

He particularly berated Amaechi; the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Jamil Sarham; and the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) leader, Akin Fakorede, for their alleged roles in the murders during the elections.

A police source at the Force Headquarters in Abuja who confirmed this on Friday, said, Melaye after his arrest was taken to the office of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in Guzape.

He said three of the suspects were arrested on December 9, by the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) with N2.18 million ransom and two handsets which they had earlier taken from their victims.

The Speaker also ordered the clerk of the House, Mr Azeez Sanni to write the family of the LASTMA official, Adeyemo Rotimi that was killed by an officer of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Joseph Oki in Iyana Ipaja area of the state in November 2018.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that Adeyemo, an officer of LASTMA was allegedly shot dead on November 28 by an officer attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, at Iyana-Ipaja area of the state.

Caleb Ikechukwu, said a total of 10 people were abducted, saying 'but upon the efforts of the officers and men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), Police Mobile Squad and the DPO of the area, nine of the victims were freed.'

Some drivers and other suspected hoodlums were subsequently arrested, while the victim, who was allegedly shot was later rushed to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital by operatives of Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARS) who were mobilised to the area to quell the clash.

'The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Adigbe Division, under whose jurisdiction the incident was to occur, was directed to work with the operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad to save the victim's life and bring the culprits to justice.

'It is equally important to note that Ojukaye Flag Amachree and his thugs freely and easily overran the entire constituency and successfully disenfranchised the electorates with the active support, protection and guidance of heavily armed Police operatives from the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS) and the Inspector General of Police's Monitoring Unit.'

This brazen act of lawlessness reportedly perpetrated in the presence of the police, especially those of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), without any action on the part of the law-enforcement personnel to arrest the situation, suggests that the agencies have been compromised.
