The direct selling industry is "vibrant and fast-growing", according to a new report from Pricewaterhouse Coopers, commissioned by the sector's European industry association, FEDSA. Already the sector - which covers sales outside permanent retail locations - has a total turnover in the EU of Euro 12 billion, and some 1.9 million independent direct sellers account for 13% of the total EU retail workforce, with their operations via home and workplace visits, catalogues, television, telephone and the Internet.
