Interviews were conducted with senior and mid-level officials at the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor), which is the main federal organization responsible for delivering economic development programs to transform the region's dependence on a primary-resource economy.

Specifically, North Bay-based MetricAid will use the FedNor funding to create and market an innovative, safe and secure software product that will help address scheduling challenges facing healthcare providers in the United Kingdom.

Specifically, the FedNor funding will enable HSNRI to complete a feasibility study and develop a new technology platform entitled Population Health Ecosystem for Ontario's Northern and Indigenous Communities.
