KitBasher - Create YOUR Own FM Kits

KitBasher allows you to create brand new kits from scratch automatically for any team you want, with the touch of a button.

It's ideal for creating fantasy kits, and be in position to change your team's kits every new season in-game or whenever you feel like it.

How to Get Started with KitBasher

1. Download the Software
2. Download the Kit Templates
3. Get Set up by watching the Tutorials
4. Generate your kits

Join Nymain's Discord for the latest beta builds and kit templates. Also join the growing KitBasher community for Team Lists, Sponsor Packs and Kit Layouts and to share your favorite kits.

Steps to import the kits into the game

1) Import the teams into Kitbasher
2) Update the team Ids with the FM team Id
3) Generate the kits for the team you want
4) Go to Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202X/Graphics (if doesn't exist create)
5) Create a subfolder in the Graphics folder for your Kitbasher kits
6) Copy the kits, config.xml and 3dkits folder to the new folder from step 5
7) Open FM
- Click 'Preferences' > 'Interface' > untick 'Use caching to decrease page loading times & tick 'Reload skin when confirming changes' > click 'Reload Skin' for first your time.
- Click 'Preferences'>'Interface'>'CLEAR CACHE then again click 'RELOAD SKIN' AS ALWAYS after downloading to folders

Hey, guys. I am getting the following error : An Error Occurred Opening the team - Please contact the Developers with t he following error: System.NullReferenceException .....
Do you know what the reason might be ?

I have found a fix to this I made an error by trying to copy the template files myself into the program files rather than importing it using the kitbasher tool. All fixed and resolved now. Great great tool

Hi, I have been trying to generate kits using this tool, it opens up fine, but everytime I try to generate a kit, it comes up with the error "Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Kitbasher\3DTemplates\Nike\17.psd'. It then proceeds to generate a 2D version of the kits, but no 3D version. I have checked and all the template files are downlaoded from FMscout. It shows thesame error for all the kit designers in the template. I use Windows 11.

Works like a charm, as said. Run as Administrator. Added some new logos for sponsors into it, like Monster, Red Bull Fly Emirates and so on, works perfectly. Great tool

@SJW1983 - run the app as admin and/or update your graphics drivers. if it crashes without error message is 99% a Windows update broke something in the GPU driver or the driver is updated

@grantmcc1984 what's to fix? the app generally runs without issues when run in admin mode. do you have a specific issue? if you get an "access denied" error - run the app as admin. it's a windows access error.

@bennyjgrant: look above

@rattlehead85 software isn't broken and is working for literally 1000s of people without issues. I run in on 3 different machines, on Win10&11 without any errors. if you get an "could not load file at location" error then verify the file is actually at that location and if it is, run the app as admin. There is nothing "corrupted" about it.

This is a joke. Software is broken yet nothing gets done about it.
When i try to import clubs i get a message saying “Error creating kit..could not load file location”
I have tried re-installing, checking for virus and other remedial actions without any luck.
I’m running windows 10 and all other software runs fine.
It took various attempts to get the kit templates into the game as it kept crashing. I finally managed it and now have this!!
Either fix the software and update it so people can use it or remove it from the site as clearly its corrupted.!!

This a great app, still works for me. Had issues with some of the sponsors but just manually adding the one I wanted fixes that. Also in the config file, you have to change "kit_textures" to "kits", just match the structure for the existing config file that you can find in your kit folder.

Also getting a warning that the path to the config file is denied and can’t do anything with the software

Hi, yeah this doesn't work. Do not bother downloading. Previous versions do. I get a massive warning stating issues with config file when trying to create or import a team. Kits were loaded fine. Wish I hadn't deleted the old version of this before downloading the newer version.

Does this work on MacBook. I can download the application but when I extract it I get a folder full of files, none that look like an application I can run

app still works like a charm, got it running on 3 machines, on Win10&Win11. Make sure your drivers are up to date and you're running as admin.

kitpack link is currently dead as I'm uploading a new, updated one. will post once it's up and running again!

Update looks awesome but it doesn't work for me anymore. I ran as administrator and go to import my team and nothing happens.

Thanks for making this looks awesome. However, when I click import team/create team the app just closes after giving me a huge error message. Any help appreciated as really looking forward to using this. (I am running this as administrator)
