World Federation of Exchanges

An organization that sets standards for international capital flows between securities exchanges. Based in Paris, it seeks to encourage international commerce in the securities and derivatives markets. More than 50 of the largest exchanges in the world belong to the World Federation of Exchanges. It was founded as the International Federation of Exchanges.

A Paris-based trade organization that encourages and establishes standards for cross-border capital flows. The federation comprises operators of 56 of the world's largest securities exchanges. Formerly called International Federation of Stock Exchanges.
