672 pollys seems quite a lot, defenately with hundrends of these on screen.
Or use stuff without rockets, like tanks or light vehicles.
If you haven't got an idea yet on how to get it working, maybe something with the repair feature would work, when combined with the normal construction method.

Why make the back of the turret go to a point? Not logical: bigger turret is easier to hit = killed easier.

If you want to help on sounds, go ahead, and don't wurry about coding it.
Sounds in ZH are .wav in a big file, they're coded in sounds.ini which say who hears them and how far and if it loops, the ini file is in inizh.big, another big file.
editing ini goes in notepad, and extracting from big with a program called finalbig.
BTW it has a second advanatge: less size of models means smaller mod-file-size, that means less lag, that means more fun and less irritation.
there's no ideas yet which fully solve mindcontrol, but there's ideas to partially make it happen.
first one (from Allstars) would allow capture of everything, but doesn't uncapture,
second would be removed when Yuri object dies(TNT bomb), but it doesn't capture,
third one same effect as first one, but only on vehicles: pilot snipe with infantry spawn (in) target vehicle.
But maybe a look at the YR coding will help.
