Hello there, Humanoid Viewer. This project is in regards to one of many planned submods for STA3. To put it simply, it's a large scale fan-expansion of Final Edition, also utilizing elements from prior iterations of Armada 3 and SOA2. It is a major content Addon + QOL mod, seeking to make it so the game runs optimally in both a PVP and PVE setting, while also bringing abandoned ideas from Final Edition to life, and filling in game elements that I thought were lacking. It's primary changes are reworks of abilities, but more importantly ships and stations, along with adding a plethora of new ships and stations to all factions(not including borg), even throwing in some more NPC assets to make the game more interesting and lively. There is a new and expanded soundtrack added to the mix to give it a more energetic feel, with some easter eggs thrown if you should happen to have any DLC. So, I've been taking the time to rework the mod entirely, effectively starting from scratch to try and locate and fix errors where I see them. I just recently put out a bare-bones beta release on my discord server, of which I've decided to translate over here shortly. There is a heavy array of changes and updates already but nowhere near completed or that well polished as I'd like. I wanna let you know that this project and the Dominion Blitzkrieg counterpart are not dead, progress is just taking time. Furthermore, with the assistance of the DS9R Dev/STA1 Remaster dev, whom of which is a friend of mine, we'll be able to expand the rosters of all factions that we deem fit, as you can see with the recent inclusion of the Orion Class, so you may see brand new stations and ships pop up from time to time. yeah it was the sheild mitigation that was causing it
I think you made the klingon titan invincible. I think its the shield recovery. A full fleet of mine couldn't knock a point off its shield

I find myself hoping for what I had wanted in the original STA3 mod, an optional simple faction we can play as using those many amazing neutral ships! There's a full set of capital ships, cruisers and frigates that are all unplayable, and I would LOVE to roleplay as a mercenary/independent faction taking on the big powers! The pirate vessels, the hussnok, the talarians etc...there's SO many I'd love being able to play!
Give me a list of the ships you want! I got you. I would just have to add it to a current faction. In my experience adding a faction is much more difficult and idk how, but I can mod any ship, any stat, whatever.
As interesting as an idea that is, that isn't presently a part of the plan.

I can replace a faction with those ships. I can't wait to try this mod. I've been modding STA3 myself for over a year. Let me know if you want me to spruce up a faction with whatever ship. Super cube, Crystalline entity, you name it I can do it (except get AXA meshes from Parallaxe's other mod to work in STA3)

yes (that was me). How in the world did you add another faction? Had been wanting to know. I may add a "Pirate" faction. Maybe we can link up somehow. You have a much better understanding of Faction Balance. Also, you did a lot of the same stuff I did, like restoring ship spawning abilities and bolstering defenses.. Been adding to your mod a bit. Making an OP Borg version too.
Well, that change in particular was adapted from an older PVP Patch Submod that closed some time ago, I originally built the submod off of that. I could look into that further however.
that would be awesome. This mod has so many underutilized or unused entities/meshes. I could possibly add two factions with it. Pirate and Federation Alliances. With the meshes I linked in my other comment too. I could work it off this submod.
But yes, please let me know if you figure out how factions can be added. It's not anywhere on the internet that I could find.

Is there a way to add more minor species like trill, andorian, vulcan etc...? Also I made a custom map and was curious if yall know if there is a way to permanent way to set the artifacts on a specific planet?
Unfortunately, unless you had the meshes, of which are already compatible with sins, that wouldn't be possible, such assets do not exist in the files.
There is a way to tether artifacts to a planet, though the names in the files do not match the files ingame so you'll have to do a lot of testing. Furthermore, the planet you attach the artifact to will have to have no points in the planetary exploration if you are to start off with it, otherwise the artifact will not trigger, this does not apply to planet bonuses though.

This less than stellar mod Stellar Parallax is chalk full of assets that can be imported into STA3. I managed to restore the Crossfield class, Archer Enterprise and many others using meshes from it. It contains some Andorian & Vulcan ships. Really a lot to choose from. But enough to make a "Federation Alliances" mod that contains trill, andorian, vulcan etc
Just be warned, the AXA meshes can break the game. I think they are unfinished. I would recommend you copy/paste entities from STA3 and simply link it to a new mesh and change some stats to reflect the ship.

I was disappointed they abandoned STA3 to make that mod instead.. Also just a pun. They left the mod unfinished, and removed so many fun abilities in their departing patch. I tried to remedy that myself, but your patch does a lot of what I was hoping. Mad props on all the federation ship spawn abilities lol
A Pirate faction is EXACTLY what I was looking for, and as for what ships basically the countless neutral and pirate vessels that cannot be used by players. There's even capital ships, such as the Hussnok or that beautiful green Gorn vessel the Pirates use (I don't know the class names, my apologies! They are mostly fan designs)
