Silver ore can be mined from Silver veins found in Mountain biomes above 125m. The ore can be smelted into Silver using a Smelter.

Location[]

Silver veins can be found using the Wishbone obtained from Bonemass.

Alternatively, hitting the ground with a two handed hammer like Stagbreaker or the Iron Sledge may reveal underground silver deposits through the "too hard" message that appears when a silver vein is in the damage area of the two handed club.

Trenching your positions may inadvertently reveal silver veins, provided you are above 125 meters in elevation. Despite the ground appearing frozen, it is no more difficult to dig in the Mountains than in other biomes, so hitting a vein by sheer luck is not out of the question.

Notes[]

  • Like other ores and metals, silver ore cannot be transported through a Portal.
  • If drakes and obsidian (100m for both) are spawning nearby, you are close to the height needed (125m) for silver to spawn.
  • Carts may be difficult to use in the mountains due to the slopes but can be useful to help reduce further trips.
  • Silver ore is the heaviest ore of all the ore types.

Cannot be broken by stone golem or antler pickaxe.
