  • Jayce is voiced by Trevor Devall in both League of Legends icon League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra icon Legends of Runeterra.[1]
  • Jayce is voiced by Kevin Alejandro in Arcane.[2]
  • During development, he was called Apollo referencing the eponymous Greek god, from Pre-Greek *Apalʸun-.[3][4]
  • Jayce was originally prototyped to have three forms instead of two.[5]
  • One of the original two forms experimented on Jayce involved him using a two-handed sword and a sword and shield.[6]
  • Scrapped spells tested on Jayce include:[7][8][9]
    • An iteration of Thundering Blow Thundering Blow that would stun any target hit by the unit that was displaced.
    • An ultimate where Jayce would slam his hammer down creating a shockwave knocking up enemies.
    • An ultimate where Jayce would create an impassible well and march forward knocking enemies out of the way and blocking attacks and spells.
  • The idea for Jayce to wield a gun hammer came from the idea of making him a Piltover inventor and making his weapon more personal to him as his own invention.[10]
  • Jayce was supposed to appear in True Genius but was scrapped.

  • Depending on writer, Jayce's lore varies in its depiction of Viktor from a counter-cultural figure who acts as Jayce's personal foil to a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Instances of the latter usually get retconned in response to feedback.
  • House Giopara runs the The Forge Of Tomorrow that makes hammers and other tools; tools that were popularized by Piltovians and were said to be contributory in the construction of Piltover.
  • In the old lore:
    • Jayce founded The Resistance to counteract Viktor Viktor and his Glorious Evolution Glorious Evolution after their clash over the arcane crystal.
    • Jayce is fascinated by purely purely robotical robotical lifeforms but disgusted by necromantic necromantic experiments experiments and augmentation augmentation.
    • Jayce deems Heimerdinger Heimerdinger as an academic influence while he 'amusedly respects' Rumble Rumble and Ziggs Ziggs.
    • While Jayce is not part of the Piltover Police Police Force Force they frequently cross paths (results may vary).
    • Jayce helped Ezreal Ezreal access restricted areas in Piltover Academy's library so the Prodigal Explorer could research records of Aatrox's Aatrox's existence.
    • Jayce Jayce knew Viktor Viktor during their academic days. Due to moral and creative differences they have since parted ways.
      • They clashed during an event which revolved around a Hex-crystal.

  • In the Arcane (TV Series), Jayce signs every page of his notes with his name. He even signs his inventions���usually with a "J".[11] Viktor Viktor thinks it's a little egotistical.
  • House Talis runs a factory that makes hammers and other tools; tools that were popularized by Piltovans and were said to be contributory in the construction of Piltover.
  • Jayce is 24 years old during the first act of Arcane.[12]
    • He is 31 or 32 years old during the second and third act of the series.[13]
  • Jayce's official height is 188 cm (6'2).[14]
  • Jayce made a bracelet with the HexCrystal that the mysterious mage gave to him when he was young. It serves as Jayce's precious memento and also a reminder of his dream to bring hextech to the masses.[11]
