Atlanta University Center Consortium, a group of historically Black colleges and universities, has received a $8.25 million grant from the UnitedHealth Group to fund the launch of the AUCC Data Science Initiative.
UnitedHealth Group and the
Atlanta University Center Consortium, or AUCC, "the oldest and largest consortium of historically black colleges and universities," or HBCUs, are partnering on a new initiative to prepare students to meet the growing demand in the marketplace for data analytics experts.
Immersed within the historic
Atlanta University Center is one a rich collection of primary and secondary resources on African American and African Diaspora history and culture.

As part of this new marketing strategy, Johnson hopes to widen her audience, reaching out to a network of more than 10,000 students in the
Atlanta University Center.
