The PDP posits that it will be nice for Buhari to explain why his anti-corruption crusade has not been directed to the discovery of unremitted revenue from sale of crude by the NNPC under his watch, as well as the non-disclosure of revenue accruable to states for which there have been deadlocks at the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).

Over 50% of operating revenue depends on allocations of oil revenue, which are transferred monthly from the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).

Alhaji Banu added that Governor Ahmed's directive comes at a time the Federal Accounts Allocation committee is yet to meet for the month, not to talk of disbursing monthly allocation to Federal, State and local governments.

'Moreover, the Buhari Presidency has refused to explain the whereabouts of trillions of naira unremitted oil revenue, resulting in the deadlock at the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has stated that his administration was able to pay the salaries of Civil Servants for June 2018 without releases from Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) because of careful financial engineering.

He added: 'Initially it (the meeting) was supposed to be a private visit but it has turned to official visit because you know we were supposed to hold the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee meeting since last week which deadlocked.
