The Prince George's County chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho
Sorority, Inc., Zeta Tau Sigma alumnae chapter, was chartered on March 26, 1983 to provide positive and proactive community leadership and support whenever and wherever needed as indicated by the
sorority's international slogan, "Greater Service, Greater Progress." Zeta Tau Sigma currently advises two undergraduate chapters at Bowie State University and the University of Maryland - College Park, as well as three affiliate groups for young women and friends of the
sorority.
These scholarships help pay for the yearly dues associated with the National Panhellenic Conference
sorority the student is in.
The Center for Fraternity and
Sorority Research, an advocacy organization, will move to Penn State from Indiana University Bloomington.

At IU Bloomington, for instance, the Tau chapter of Sigma Kappa
sorority has a mental health chair and offers convenient, confidential therapy services to students, who can't always fit a visit to an official campus counselor into their schedule.
