Sørøya
an island of Norway off the northern coast of the Scandinavian Peninsula. The island’s area is 816 sq km; elevations reach 653 m. Sèrèya is composed of gneisses, schists, and gabbro and is covered with moss and lichen tundra. Economic activities include reindeer raising and fishing.
