walk a mile in her shoes.
Baguio's Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) adviser Patti Gallardo said the male police and jail personnel were requested to wear women's shoes as an adaption of the international award-winning "
Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" project that started in the United States in 2001.
Chief executive at Cadwyn Housing Association Chris O'Meara said: "The
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes had a humble beginning when we first took part in 2014.
Another example of the shoe as a protest symbol is the red, high-heeled shoes worn by men attending
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes events.
The endeavor was part of the fourth annual "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
This year's walk marked the 10th anniversary of the award-winning "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event.
They walked down Bold Street to Williamson Square during the fundraiser, entitled "
Walk A Mile In Her Shoes".
"The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event has grown from strength to strength over the last four years and I am hopeful that this year we will see even more men join in and support this integral campaign."
