circle back (to something)

1. To return to some location or thing in or as if in a circular path. A: "Dang it, I forgot my wallet." B: "OK, I'll circle back to the house." I'll have to drop off some of these supplies first and then circle back for the rest of them. Just stay on the path and you'll hit the coffee shop, then circle back to the hotel.
2. To revisit or return to an idea or topic of conversation. I like that idea, Frank. Let's put a pin in it for now and circle back to it again at the end of the meeting. Inevitably, our conversations always circle back to money issues. Don't worry, we'll circle back to your question, Jack.
