The
CIOB North East Summer Ball and awards were held at Wynyard Hall near Billingham and celebrated 50 years of the regional branch by judging submissions for the North East's best construction projects of the last five decades.
Project contractor, Wates Living Space, was presented with the
CIOB's Committed to Corporate Responsibility Award at a ceremony at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
The president of the Chartered Institute of Building (
CIOB), Professor Roger Flanagan, was on the telephone and told me the board of the Institute had nominated me as president for 2009/2010.
In addition, he was appointed vice-president of the Chartered Institute of Building (
CIOB) in March last year.
