Team Fortress 2 Vintage is a Source 2013 modification based off of Team Fortress 2 Classic as a re-imagining of retail TF2, focusing on being a museum to the game.
From Eshy,
So it seems that I have forgotten about posting on this Moddb page. First of all I apologize to people who only know of the mod from here, I have unfortunately left you in the dark. However to make it up I will explain the content being featured in the next update. First of all weapons, as of 3.5R there are around 20 or so weapons. But if you want to know how many weapons will be in the 1.0 update, here's a link to the weapons section of the next update patch notes: Pastebin.com
Yes your eyes aren't tricking you, TF2V will now have OVER 100 weapons in it! Classic items like the Dead Ringer, Force-a-Nature and newer ones like the Thermal Thruster and Panic Attack. This is why the update has taken so long, the weapon list has just gotten longer and longer as development had continued. Thankfully weapon development has ended and now we can focus on finalizing the update to make it playable and fun. Please comment or post in our discord balance ideas you'd like to see to some weapons, and improvements we can make to the game so you can all enjoy it more. We now are aiming for a release at the end of the month (actually this time) and hope to get everyone playing the game as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support and I hope you'll enjoy the 1.0 Update!
A guide to setting up TF2V as well as a FAQ that originally was it's own article.
A revised edition of TF2V approved for distribution. Full version only.
Sometimes you just need a little less gun. This is one of those times.
The patch variant for the long awaited TF2V 3.4, adding many new features and fixing old glitches for the most ambitious TF2V update ever. Now bundled...
A quick and tiny hotfix addressing some oversights with the release of 3.3 version.
This is a big one, so make sure to check the description for patch notes.

this is for idiots who don't know about tf2 classic that came out years ago
Please don't be upset there are people who don't want to deal with TF2C considering it's become a bag of nothing with a rather cancerous community.
I was going to try TF2 classic out.
But my friend told me stories about the infamous TF2C community
I tried it a while back, but I couldn't stand how toxic the players were. Take the worst elements of 4chan's "/b/" and "/pol/" boards and you have a pretty good idea what TF2C's "community" is like.
I'm also not that fond of all the extra stuff TF2C tacked on to the base game. If I wanted gimmicky gameplay modes, garish visuals and unbalanced alternate weapons I'd play modern TF2.
To be fair most of the /pol/ stuff was from one dude who turned out to be guilty of all the stuff he banned for. The guy was a certified larper who still clings to TF2C and has been very passive aggressive towards vintage, not just the dev team but the player base.
While there is no ill will towards classic's team they're going down an odd direction and some of their staff think it appropriate to enter servers and give themselves uber or other things which is what we're trying to avoid.
Check your port forwarding. TF2 Vintage and every other sourcemod requires port 27015 open in order to be able to communicate with the server browser.
Also, 192.168.X.X is your local IP, simply search "What is my IP" or any variant into your search engine of choice to get your internet IP.
This is important.
WHy this was awaiting approval is beyond me
I've set up a dedicated TF2V server and I can connect to it via the console just fine, but it doesn't show up in the server browser. Do you have any idea why?
It does show up in the LAN tab.
Forums.srcds.com
"Are you on the same computer / network as the server?
If so you're only going to see the server as LAN, everybody else will see it as Internet if you configured it correctly."
It's probably on the Internet tab for other players.
I can check, gib name
"No hotpockets allowed."
I see salami and memesystem but your server isn't there. Post IP if you can
192.168.0.5:27015
"Failed to connect after 4 retries"
I got it working. I typed in the wrong IP when forwarding the port.
