Following the GZDoom port of Doom 64, BD-64 revitalizes the old Doom 64 with new special effects, particles, lightning, gore, new sounds, more weapon animations (shotgun reloads, smoother minigun barrels, etc.) and monsters and stuff cut from the original Nintendo 64 version. Works on GZDoom and Zandronum in OpenGL mode. (Zdoom and Zandronum Software mode are not supported.) No downloads available yet. Mod still is very early WIP.

No better way to play D64. Also tones down the exaggerated elements of normal Brutal Doom (e.g no executions or taunting). It's close to perfect.

This great I love the hell levels they kind of feel like doom 3, the doom 2016 hell levels are not as scary

Wonderful experience

Great mod, all the enhancements integrate very well and vastly improve the Doom 64 experience. It revitalizes a game many would not be replaying without this mod. Nice work Sarge.

An absolute blast for any doom fan guaranteed!

I am alive to play this

The mod is awesome on gzdoom 2.2 final with blood set to overdrawn (highest option). Fast paced, gore galore, a new map pack (for me since I never owned the original doom 64), and works with any doom 2 wad.

And add to that, the author shares his work for free. Great job!

And there are always going to be haters, and to them I say.... upload your own mod and link it to me if any of you think you can do better. Otherwise, stfu =-O
