In his fortress of Shaddar-Nur, the necromancer Shaddar, a pariah of the Band of Mages from Mystdale Castle, plans his triumphant return to the world of Ancaria. To strengthen his magic powers, he summons a Sakkara Demon, whose power he will absorb himself. These Sakkara Demons rule over those damned to rot in hell, the undead. Not since the Era of the Gods have any of these creatures set foot in Ancaria, not since the Seraphim army drove them back to their dimension during the Wars of the Gods. However, Shaddar's experiment fails. The Sakkara Demon escapes and turns on his summoner...

This release fixes a huge number of SP and MP bugs as well as some quest problems.
I've bought it from LGP back then. Is i possible I can activate my purchased copy in Desura too?
OK. This system has been tested and we can do it for you. If you would like to have access to your previous LGP purchase on Desura please send an email to support@linuxgamepublishing.com asking for a desura invite. Make sure you send from the email address you registered the game with as your desura invite will be sent back to that same email address.
It just worked for me! I have it installing now. I'll uninstall the CD version after a bit. I just prefer the way I am able to manage my games and update them in one place.
As I've mentioned before I don't feel you own us Desura keys. I imagine there is a cost to you for this. But I do appreciate it. If there is a cost, perhaps in the future you could add old games to Desura as you release new ones. You could have an option to activate an old game with the purchase of a new one. Just a thought.
Thanks again!
It's possibly worth noting that the reverse is already true. If you bought it on Desura, you can also download it through LGP's systems if for any reason you are unable to do so through Desura as it's using standard LGP keys.
This should be possible soon, I'm actively looking into it.
Wow! I didn't expect that. I don't feel we have the right to expect it, but I certainly appreciate it!
Me too! :D
I cant read the fonts, i see boxes instead
When in doubt, remove the shipped libraries... It worked for me. As a reference, I only kept these libraries*, and now the graphics and sound render properly.
It wouldn't be a problem if LGP didn't ship libraries compiled before the last decade. SDL and OpenAL (for example) have had stable ABI for ages and there's no reason to ship them!
*=libavcodec.so libavformat.so libavutil.so libcrypto.so.0.9.8 libgdk-1.2.so.0 libglib-1.2.so.0 libgmodule-1.2.so.0 libgrapple.so libgtk-1.2.so.0 libjpeg.so.62 libssl.so.0.9.8
Thanks! This didnt work for my, but is I find the problem I report it
Seems it only works for me then. Wierd, but I hope they find a way to fix it for everybody.
There seems to be a problem with font rendering, and from what I heard I'm not alone. Also, ground textures don't render for me at all (it's just black).
Also I want to know if it would be somehow possible to get the German dubbing. It sounds a hundred times better than the English one to me..
Nevertheless I'm pretty impressed. I really didn't expect it to work, but unlike other modern titles, it perfectly did except for the above issues. Kinda nostalgic seeing the 1.2 series of Gtk and co in the lib folder =)
I had the same problem. You can easily fix it by removing the shipped libraries which are deprecated (such as SDL, gcc, stdc++, openal, asound, etc). In this case the libraries are in <desura>/common/sacred/lib/lib{1,2}. Hope that helps.
This is pretty common with LGP games unfortunately, and removing shipped libraries always worked for me.
Thanks, I just tried it (although I just renamed the libs). Apparently with my libm.so the game crashes, so I left that in, but I otherwise reduced the lib count significantly (Sacred now also uses PulseAudio directly :D ).
The font and ground texture problems however are still the same, nothing changed =/
Bummer. Are you running fglrx by any chance? X3 renders really badly with that driver for me; maybe it's the same issue.
Yeah I am =/ The last time I used radeon, Minecraft was absolutely unplayable, and I assume much hasn't changed regarding performance =/
