Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.
Contra is one of, if not the best mods I have ever seen.

This mod deserves a solid 10. The new units, new generals, new effects, etc., are awesome. I recommend that you play this mod if you haven't already.
Apart from the AI pathfinding issues causing disgusting framedrops, this mod is very fun even in it's current state. Luckily, it seems like the developers are working to improve the game in a unique and interesting way, especially with how they integrated the ranking and the tech-tiers.
This it's a great mod, deserves a 10

Beautiful work
This mod really takes this game somewhere. Real technical fixes can be experienced easily as u play 08. Extended with care, which gives taste of a fine expansion. Still some issues with challenge mode, like never ending laser general challenge :) and i couldnt even start playing challenge because of bugs&crashes in some mods. i believe they ll fix it in the next version and this mod will remain the best of the best.
I like how it merges realistic portraying of an modern army with some sci-fi elements without being something like vanilla Generals/Zero Hour was.
Ahhh Contra... Such an amazing mod. I am forced to give this an 8, because I'm a new member. I would definitely give this a 9.5 though. It adds many cool units and also adds 3 new generals. It makes each general awesome, giving each one a different personality and taste. I would certainly recommend this amazing mod.
