Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.
THis mod has met my expectations and more with the stunning textures and the brillient models, it has added so many units and structures tht it has given a new feel to the game, they have pushed this game engine far and really strived for detail in thi mod they have got some brilliently ballenced units and have even got the Ai working perfectly with all the new units this could eventually be a 10/10 from me and may be the first to hit 10

Contra is the Best Mod for Generals ZeroHour.It is almost like an Extra "Expansion Pack" ...I can't wait to play with "008" like everyone else! :D
The best mod for C&C Generals Zero Hour.It was the "mod of my dreams". E.g. I imagined a sniper who never reveals himself (unless spotted by radar) (Assasin), a SCUD(Elbrus) Launcher with unlimited range (Prince Kassad's Elbrus Launcher), a dual Nuke Launcher (Bertha, although it will be replaced with the Yanwang) a gattling tank firing anti-tank shells (Shaitan or Guan Yu).Also, I like the idea of the ranking system and, even more, the Super-units.It surely deserves a 10 ;)

The whole reason im giving this a 5 is the rank-gating they have implemented in this mod. Not only are certain buildings locked but also units until you become rank 3 or 5 general, usually.
How do you even think of this? It's basically grind, but in a RTS game, it doesn't help that the earlier units in the game are borderline useless either.
It has nice ideas and everything but man that general promo system? No, just no.
