The Of Rats and Raiders quest, at one point, will send you to find a city fountain in Sacrament and retrieve a key from a drunk guard. If you haven't encountered this seemingly easy to find location yet, finding it may be troublesome. On this page, we show how to reach the place mentioned in the quest.
How to get information on the whereabouts of the key?
In the course of the quest, you'll talk to a fellow named Rattigan, a prisoner locked in a cage in Sacrament. In exchange for information, he will ask you to free him. To do this, you're going to need to locate and steal the key unlocking his cage.
Take the road down from Rattigan's cage. At the tower you'll encounter two conversing guards. If you eavesdrop on their talk, you'll learn that the key you're looking for is in possession of their drunk friend who made his way to the city fountain. The journal will update.
Where to find the fountain?
Contrary to what you may expect, the fountain in Sacrament is not found in the central part of the city, nor by one of the city squares. Instead, you'll have to visit a lower level north-western part of the city. The map supplied shows the fastest way to get there going from the cages.
You'll encounter the drunk guard - after talking to him, you can steal the key. Now all you have to do is to return to the prisoner who will thank you for freeing him and give you the details you need for the next part of the task.
