Southern Charm star Danni Baird ENGAGED to 'best friend' Nick Volz: 'This is long overdue'

Danni Baird and her boyfriend Nick Volz are engaged!
The Southern Charm star, 40, and her fiancé, 39, got engaged last month after a day spent visiting her parents.
'We had just driven five hours back from Lake Keowee, where we were visiting my parents, and he was like, 'Do you want to go for a stroll at the Battery,'' the reality TV star told People of her June 30 engagement in Charleston, South Carolina.
'And I thought he just wanted to stretch his legs, but next thing I knew I turned around and he was down on one knee, telling me, "This is long overdue."
The couple met at a mutual friend's 40th birthday party two years ago and have been dating ever since.

And Danni can't wait to marry her 'best friend' Nick.
'He's my best friend,' she said. 'He's such an authentic person; so lovable and kind. And he's super hot, so that helps!'
The couple welcomed their son Jackson Yates Volz in late December.
They had planned to have a no frills wedding at the courthouse in January but their son, whom they are calling Yates, had other ideas.
'We were like, 'We'll just wait and have an actual wedding,'' Baird said.
But baby Yates entered the world two and a half weeks early to the great surprise of his mother, who was driving to TJ Maxx at the time.
'He wasn't due until middle of January but I was last-minute Christmas shopping and on the way to T.J. Maxx, my water broke in the car,' she explained.
'I was like, "Did I just pee my pants?" Then it happened again, and I was like, "Uh, I think I might just run by the doctor real quick."'
The couple welcomed their bouncing baby boy six hours later.
Danni and Nick plan to tie the knot before Yates' first birthday in a small and intimate ceremony.

'We have a couple of months to plan it, but we'll keep things small,' Baird told the outlet adding that her family and Nick's family are very close.
The new parents will also be house hunting at the same time they are planning their wedding, raising their baby boy and juggling their careers.
'We've got a lot going on,' Baird aptly joked.
'I don't know how we're going to do it all, but we always find a way.'
