With 60 razor-sharp teeth and jaws so powerful they could crush a car, the King of the Dinosaurs would already have been a terrifying sight. But if that wasn't enough, the T. Rex may have been 70 per cent heavier than previously thought - weighing up to 15 tonnes - according to a study. Researchers have used computer modelling to look at the maximum size of dinosaurs, using the famous T. Rex as an example. Since the incredible sizes attained by many dinosaurs make them a source of endless fascination, they raised the question of how these animals evolved to get so big.
'Guardian angel' theory links Trump's assassination attempt to UFOs
Footage from the Pennsylvania rally on July 13 appeared to capture UFOs soaring through the skies, which social media users claimed were 'guardian angels' protecting Donald Trump. A disc-like object whizzed in the background of an American flag blowing in the wind shortly before bullets were fired and another appeared like an orb as the Secret Service stormed the stage.

Scientists have revealed that cocaine has contaminated the coastal waters of Brazil so badly that it has begun to harm the eyesight, hunting skills and life expectancy of local sharks. But the problem of cocaine pollution is not limited to drug exporting regions since the illicit substance can also reach waterways through a city's sewage. As this shocking map reveals, Europe has some of the world's most cocaine-laden waterways, with the Belgian city of Antwerp topping the list. To see how your city fares, check out this interactive map to find out the amount of illicit substances polluting waters near you.

Move aside, Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones! As Twisters hits cinemas, three real-life storm chasers reveal what it's REALLY like studying tornadoes - and why driving is actually the most dangerous part of the job
As Twisters hits cinemas this weekend, adrenaline junkies might already be thinking about armouring up the family car and driving out to find their nearest tornado. But, despite its claims of scientific accuracy, according to real-life storm chasers, the reality isn't quite so cinematic. This sequel to the 1996 blockbuster 'Twister' stars Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones as storm chasers fighting against the odds to survive deadly tornadoes. However, although scientists really do brave golf ball-sized hail and winds of up to 200mph, it isn't actually the tornado that presents the biggest danger. Dr Wilson, a meteorologist from the National Centre for Atmospheric Research, told MailOnline: 'What you see in the movies is all action, but 95 per cent of severe storms research is just driving around for long distances and then waiting in gas station parking lots in the middle of nowhere.'
EXCLUSIVEMan vs Shark: British adventurer, Ross Edgley, attempts to mimic the diet of a tiger shark by consuming a whopping 41,103 calories in 48 hours (and he claims it was surprisingly easy!)
If washing down endless junk food with litres of custard sounds like your dream meal plan, extreme athlete Ross Edgley's 'Tiger Shark Bulk' might be the diet for you. In his new documentary 'Shark Vs. Ross Edgley', Ross (pictured left main) takes on Earth's most formidable predators on their own turf. While trying to swim faster than a Mako or out-jump a Great White might seem impossible, Ross' biggest challenge didn't require any exercise at all. Ross polished off a 41,103 calorie feast including pizzas, burgers, two full English breakfasts, and seven litres of custard - all to try and go meal-for-meal with a tiger shark, which is also known as the 'trash can' of the sea.

What's behind the Microsoft outage? Experts reveal the truth behind the blackout as major banks, businesses, and news channels are all struck - and say we can't rule out a cyberattack
Microsoft is scrambling to fix the 'massive cyber event' that caused computer meltdowns around the world on Friday. Described as the ' most serious IT outage the world has ever seen ', the outage has hit supermarkets, banks, telcos, streaming services and PCs. Brits woke up to find Microsoft software and hardware affected, with airports, railways and GP surgeries also among those reporting problems. It's all due to a 'buggy' security update to Falcon, a type of antivirus software that protects Microsoft Windows devices from cyberattacks. CrowdStrike - the company behind Falcon - is 'actively working with customers' who are affected, but insists it is 'not a security incident or cyberattack'.
Are YOU wasting these food essentials? The 10 most common freezable items thrown out by Britons - including herbs, cheese, and potatoes
Food waste is a major problem in the UK, with Britons throwing away a whopping 9.5 million tonnes of produce every year. Aside from being extremely wasteful, food waste can also contribute to climate change, because it releases huge amounts of methane gas as it breaks down. Despite this, a new survey led by AO.com has revealed that the average Briton bins £450-worth of freezable foods a year. Over the course of a lifetime, that equates to a staggering £35,000!

It's one of England's treasured landmarks, and the country's largest castle in terms of square acreage. But Kent's Dover Castle was badly damaged by the French in an attack just over 800 years ago. Now, a stunning new 3D model recreates the original as it would have looked just before the 'great siege' of 1216.
Experts create anti-aging holy grail drug that extends life 25% and prevents cancer and gray hair
Scientists have developed a breakthrough therapy that could slow aging in humans. The team demonstrated it on rats, finding the animals had improved vision, less gray hair and muscle growth. The 75-week-old animals, equivalent to a 55-year-old human, lived for an average 155 weeks, compared to the 120 weeks for those that were not treated.
The 'cruellest man who ever lived' is revealed after 440 years: Scientists reconstruct the true face of Ivan the Terrible - the Russian tyrant who had subjects boiled ALIVE
The cold gaze of Russia 's cruellest tyrant falls upon us 440 years on from his death, after scientists rebuilt his face from his skull. Ivan the Terrible, Russia's first tsar, transformed his country into an empire, expanding its borders eastwards into Siberia, and south to the Caspian. But he's better remembered for his barbarity, having his subjects variously quartered, boiled alive, impaled, roasted, drowned under ice, and torn apart by horses. He's even said to have beat his own son to death, enraged after he was confronted for striking the prince's pregnant wife, causing her to miscarry.
Peer INSIDE the human heart: Shocking video reveals the difference between a healthy organ and one from a patient with cardiovascular disease
Researchers in Britain and France used a new X-ray technique to capture the anatomical structure of the heart down to 20 micrometres - half the width of a human hair. The hearts are from two deceased patients; the healthy one was from a 63-year-old white male donor without any known heart problems. Meanwhile, the diseased heart was from an 87-year-old white female donor with a history of ischaemic heart disease, which is when the heart is weakened due to receiving reduced blood flow.

Any decent runner knows that your choice of shoe is key. But with options ranging from flat 'barefoot' shoes to trainers that are so bouncy they almost feel spring-loaded, it can be tricky to know where to even start. Now, a shoemaker has unveiled what he claims is the ultimate running shoe for women - and at first glance you'd be forgiven for mistaking it as a slipper. The shoe, dubbed the QLVR (pronounced Clever), has a slip-on style but offers better support than lace-up alternatives, according to Martin Dean, 46.

I'm a famous serial killer profiler - here are four actions women can take to avoid becoming victims
A serial killer profiler has revealed the four steps women should take to protect themselves from an attack. Dr Ann Burgess worked with the FBI to create psychological profiles for people suspected of murder. She has found serial killers always search for women who are unprotected, appear weak and are living alone. She referred to these as a pattern, which had been the case for many of the victim's killed by Ted Bundy (right) from 1974 through 1978 and the 'Co-ed killer' (left) who went on a murdering spree from 1972 to 1973.
The haunting return to the Titanic: Expedition to the wreck sets sail just one year after the OceanGate tragedy which saw five killed while trying to visit the lost ship - as experts reassure 'we aren't using manned submersibles this time around'
Adventurers set sail for the wreck of the Titanic on Friday - marking the first expedition since the doomed OceanGate mission over a year ago that tragically killed five men. The Georgia-based firm that owns the salvage rights to Titanic, called RMS Titanic Inc, is probing the sunken ocean liner using two remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). According to the BBC , the robotic vehicles will reach 12,000ft (3,700 metres) down - the bottom of the North Atlantic, where the remains of the Titanic lie. They will capture millions of high-resolution photos to make a new 3D model of the debris, which is quickly deteriorating and could be lost in a few decades. A plaque will also be laid on the seabed in honour of Frenchman Paul-Henri Nargeolet (inset), director of research at RMS Titanic Inc, one of the five Titan victims.
