Salma Hayek puts her support behind England in their Euros semi-final match as she shares a throwback snap sporting the St George's flag

Salma Hayek has shown her support for England as they take on The Netherlands in the second Euros semi final.

The Grown Ups star, 57, made it clear she was rooting for the Three Lions in the clash in Dortmund, Germany.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Salma shared a throwback snap of her younger self sporting an oversized England football shirt. 

Salma was also carrying a huge St George's flag in the picture, which she captioned: 'Go England!!!! ⚽️❤️ #euros2024 #football.'

Some 40,000 Three Lions supporters are in Dortmund for the game which kicks off at 8pm as England play their third semi-final in the past four major tournaments.

Millions more will be watching back home on TV with 28million people expected to tune into ITV's coverage and an estimated 35million pints set to be poured.

The revelry will continue should the team make it through to Sunday's final against Spain in Berlin, with Tesco announcing it will close all its Express supermarket stores in England early to let staff watch the match should they win tonight.

England were given an official allocation of just 7,255 at the 81,365-capacity stadium, with tickets now selling on resale websites for anywhere between £385 and £8,000.

Salma's message of support  comes after she brought some Hollywood glamour to Wimbledon on Sunday. 

She was joined by her husband François-Henri Pinault in the Royal Box on day seven of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Salma cut a sophisticated figure in a navy tweed blazer and a pair of  matching trousers, as the couple made their way to their seats.

Showing her support for her husband, 62, Salma sported a striped Gucci jumper, one of the luxury fashion houses owned by his multi-billion corporation.

The Oscar nominee hid her eyes behind a pair of chic black sunglasses and sported a classic red lip.

Salma also drove fans wild in june when she posed with Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan in the VIP section at Taylor Swift's London concert.
