The Braxton family is heading back to reality TV to air their family drama after seven seasons of Braxton Family Values which ended three years ago.

In the new series The Braxtons, the women will 'share new love, success, heartbreak, ongoing family dynamics and so much more' according to a press release from We TV.

The trailer for The Braxtons features Tamar Braxton declaring 'being a Braxton is my legacy, it's my birthright,' while a voiceover adds the family has 'a lot of things we need to talk about' and 'a lot to share.'

Toni also returns to the stage after a health scare.

We TV announced the new series in February starring Toni, Tamar, Towanda, Trina and the family matriarch Dr. Evelyn Braxton.

They also address the loss of their sister Traci at 50 to esophageal cancer in March 2022, saying that things are 'never going to be the same.'

Toni, 56, says that 'she hasn't performed in over four years' and talked about her 'major health scare involving my heart' saying 'every time I step on stage I pray I don't get sick.'

In another scene Evelyn cries 'I just lost a child,' as the screen cuts to Toni sitting with her arms crossed looking defiant.

The trailer follows Toni's attempt at standup comedy with Cedric the Entertainer while her mothers and sisters tell her to 'stick to singing.'

And there's a lot of talk from Trina about wanting grand babies while several scenes show her haranguing her sons Eric and Caleb about the matter.

Meanwhile she nearly loses her cool when her husband Von Scales admits he told their sons to 'get vasectomies' if they didn't want kids.

The trailer concludes with Toni on stage in a shimmering white dress doubled over in pain while family friend Hill Harper threatens to 'stop the entire show.'

The Braxtons premieres August 9 on We TV.

The R&B singer underwent heart surgery in September 2022 after doctors found that her 'left main coronary artery was 80 percent blocked.'

'I found out that I needed a coronary stent... the doctors told me I could've had a massive heart attack, I would not have survived,' the Un-Break My Heart singer told People last year.

The Grammy-winning artist said that hearing the somber news from doctors marked 'a traumatic moment' for her.

'I was in shock,' said Braxton, who was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2008. 'I remember that day because my chest was aching often, just hurting.'

She said at the time that it was in the aftermath of the death of her sister Traci from cancer in March of 2022, which she thought was directly related to her chest ache.

'I remember that day because my chest was aching often, just hurting,' Braxton said. 'And I thought I was just sad because unfortunately my sister had just passed and I thought, "Wow, I'm really aching in my heart for my sister."

'And come to find out, of course I was sad about my sister, but I also had underlying health issues. It was my body talking to me, telling me something's not quite right.'
