Paul Walter Hauser is making amends after making 'mean-spirited' comments about Vin Diesel.

The Black Bird actor, 37, took to Instagram to express his regret and say he is 'genuinely sorry' after what he said about the Fast & Furious star, 56, went viral.

'I no longer feel that way,' he said in a lengthy apology letter in a caption accompanied by a photo showing Bible verse 1 Thessalonians 4:11, which read: 'Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life.'

This comes after Hauser accused the actor of being unprofessional on set despite having never worked with him.

Hauser also clarified in his apology letter than he never even met Diesel when he made the claims about him 'mistreating' people on set and being late.

His initial comments went viral after he said he did not want to be compared to Diesel while speaking to CinemaBlend during a press junket on June 14 for his latest film Inside Out 2.

When the interviewer compared his voice acting performance to Diesel's in Guardian of the Galaxy, Hauser retorted, 'Please don't say that.'

With a chuckle, he continued: 'I like to think I'm on time and approachable.

'Sorry, I love people, but when I hear stories about Hollywood actors who get paid really well and mistreat people, I out them constantly,' he added. 'And it's a blast.'

Now, Hauser is taking back his comments, which he called 'careless' and 'needlessly mean-spirited.'

He explained that he was 'exhausted' when he said what he said, adding that he 'no longer [feels] that way.'

Diesel has not yet publicly addressed Hauser's initial statements nor his apology.

'A few weeks back, I made a random comment about Vin Diesel,' Hauser began in his post on Sunday.

'It started somewhat humorous, but unraveled into me dogging him out over behavior I had heard about on multiple occasions from multiple sources,' he continued.

'I had done a night shoot on Friday, gotten one hour of sleep, and then flew to LA from Atlanta at 6 a.m. to do a full day of press for Inside Out 2,' he explained.

'I was exhausted and, in my fatigued state, I shot my mouth off and made a careless, needlessly mean-spirited comment,' he said. 'That comment was recorded and then went viral.'

He said that it can be 'momentarily satiating' to call out people for their misbehavior but contended that he should not have made the comments 'even if some of those things turned out to be true.'

'Just here to say that I am sorry for having made that comment,' he said. 'I do indeed get riled up by some of the behavior I've witnessed, or heard about, and "outing" people to any extent can feel momentarily satiating,' he explained.

'I no longer feel that way and am genuinely sorry for shooting my mouth off and not showing love to Vin, who I do not know and have never met,' he said.

'It isn't fair of me to make judgments of that kind, and even if some of those things turned out to be true, it is mean to shout them out and playfully attack someone,' Hauser added.

He said as a 'self-professed Christian,' he said he wants to show more love towards people than hurt them.

'I need to do a better job of loving people and not trying to "right a wrong," or allow my ego to posture itself with some sort of verbal flex,' he said.

'It just isn't additive to our culture, and it can hurt other people,' he added before addressing Diesel directly.

To the A Man Apart star, he wrote: 'I apologize. Thank you for entertaining so many people and making them happy. I'm trying to do the same.'

At the end of his note, he concluded, 'Time for me to be quiet. I sometimes talk myself into idiocy.'
