Jack Black looked nearly unrecognizable as he stepped out for a walk in Hollywood rocking a grey and bushy beard.

The Emmy-winning actor, 54, who has appeared clean-shaven in many of his biggest films like The Holiday (2006) or Goosebumps (2016), appeared relaxed as he chatted on the phone and enjoyed some time outside.

For his laid-back outing, the father-of-two, who is married to Tanya Haden, showed off his eccentric fashion sense in a red shirt with flames and wolf on it, patterned shorts and a wide-brimmed hat.

He completed his eye-catching ensemble with a pair of green and white tie-dye socks, black sneakers, a backpack and sunglasses.

Over the years, Black has spent more time voicing characters for movies like The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) and the Kung Fu Panda franchise, than on screen.

Still, he recently went viral for sending a sweet message to Australian school students that invited him to watch them perform School Of Rock.

In response to his invite to watch their live show version of his smash hit 2003 film, the star shared a heartfelt video message.

'Ringwood Second College, you're doing School Of Rock?! I love it! love it, so touched, so moved by your video and the fact that you're going to rock,' he said. ''You know it's been 20 years since I made that movie? It's still my favorite movie I ever did and I love that you guys are going to rock it.'

However, he went on to tell them that he sadly wouldn't be able to attend their rehearsals because of his busy touring schedule for his band Tenacious D's Australian tour.

Bursting into song, he added: 'But I just wanted to remind you that there's no way you can stop the School Of Rock!'

Ringwood Secondary College's students had invited Jack to watch them rehearse School Of Rock: The Musical in an Instagram video shared in late May.

The school's production director Lauren Rowe explained on Sammy J's ABC show how they put the invite out after a student realized Jack would be in Melbourne at the same time as their rehearsals.

In a video shared by the school, the students said: 'We'd like to formally invite you to pop by one of our rehearsals during the time you're here so we can give you some unfinished homework as part of that rock assignment.'

The students went on to 'beg' Jack to attend as they asked him to 'grace' them with his presence, before ending their message by chanting his name.

The school were left blown away by Jack's response as they shared his video message to their Instagram page, sending their followers wild.

Black and his band are currently on Spicy Meatball Tour, which kicked off in May and is set to wrap on July 26, 2024.
