Blood magic (Skill) is a skill related to Blood magic weapon class.

Effects[]

Higher skill level in blood magic reduces the Eitr cost to attack down to -33%.

The damage dealt by creatures summons with blood magic weapons is also affected by skill level, with the only example so far (the Dead raiser) ranging from 100% damage at blood magic 0 to 300% damage at level 100.

Blood magic skill also affects the maximum amount of damage which can be absorbed by the Magic Barrier produced by the Staff of protection, with a base value of 200 damage at level 0, increasing by 5 per level to a maximum of 700 damage at level 100.

Leveling Up[]

Experience gain for Blood magic is unique in that casting does not give experience.

  • With the Staff of protection, when the barrier created is broken, the entity protected by the barrier receives experience (instead of the caster). This applies to any player, summoned skeleton or tamed creature. Thus, it is possible to level Blood magic without having either staff.
  • With the Dead raiser, experience is gained any time a summoned Skelett deals damage. Each skelett gains skill levels at half the rate which players do, and their skill gains are transferred to their summoner.
  • Due to Skelett's ability to give xp every time it does damage, it is possible to use creature spawners to farm experience by setting up an arena & blocking the Skelett's ability to get to the spawner (As they will attempt to destroy them if possible) and have a infinite spawning amount of enemies for your skelett to attack and thus infinite amount of experience
  • The Elder boss can be repeatedly farmed to level up blood magic fairly quickly. His stomp attack will break 3 shields of skeletts and the users shield and can be recast multiple times during a fight to quickly raise blood magic. You can get many ancient seeds by using the above creature spawner method in the black forest biome.
  • Using the bonemass fight with Skeletts on the skull , you can use the staff of protection's bubble to be constantly popped due to it's posion effect while not harming the skelett's actual health allowing multiple bubble destructions due to damage (so +1 for yourself and possibly 0.5 for each skeltt)
