Location:From Montrose, 22 miles south on US 550.
Facilities:280 campsites, electrical hookups, showers, laundry, restrooms, 3 yurts, 87 picnic sites, group picnic area, snack bar, stables/horse rental, multi-use trails (14 miles), swimming beach, bathhouse, boat ramp, marina, mooring/docking, boat rental, 2 fish cleaning stations, visitor/nature center (é).
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, sailboarding, jet skiing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, rock climbing, cross-country skiing/snowshoeing, ice skating, ice fishing, snowtubing, winter camping, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Visitors to Ridgway enjoy exceptional scenery, including Mount Sneffels (14,149 feet above sea level), the San Juan Mountains to the south, and the Cimarron Range to the east. The park is known as one of the nation's most accessible recreation areas for people with disabilities.

The single-engine Socata TBM took off from Gadsden, Alabama, and was headed to Montrose, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) north of the reservoir, when it crashed into the water at Ridgway State Park on Saturday.
