Gyda Gulf

 

(Gyda Inlet), a gulf on the southern Karskoe Sea, along the northern shore of the Gyda Peninsula between the Iavai and Mamont peninsulas. Length, approximately 200 km; depth, 5–8 m. The gulf is frozen for most of the year. The flow of the tides is semidiurnal, and their range is approximately 1 m.
