Besermians

an ethnographic group of Udmurts. They live in Balezino, Iukamenskoe, and Glazov raions of the Udmurt ASSR. They speak the Udmurt language with some special features. The question of their origin is still in dispute. Ethnographic and historical data indicate that Beser-mians may be descendants of the Bulgars of the Volga-Kama.
