February 2023
Steam forums are great for a laugh and all. But once you're done with that laugh we're back to it being very much not funny that it's the weekend and the game is in exactly the same state.

PcgamingWiki is updated.
Issues unresolved
Traversal and streaming related stutters
The game suffers from frequent stutters when the player crosses invisible boundaries in the game, like opening a door or when walking around. This is likely caused by the game inefficiently loading in the next area, causing a large frame time spike, which is perceived as a stutter. The more powerful the PC is, the less frequent and intense these stutters become.
Shader compilation stutters in some rare cases
Shader compilation stutters can possibly trigger during gameplay after changing graphical settings. Additionally there are strong suspicions that the game's shader pre-compilation is not fully exhaustive in pre-compiling all shaders used by the game. This can lead to some rare shader compilation related stutters.
Inconsistent performance between runs
The same in-game scene can sometimes run with different performance between runs for unknown reasons. This happens even after changing no in-game settings and a full PC system reboot.
FSR leads to blurry animated UI
FSR doesn't properly take animations of UI-elements into account when upscaling the image, resulting in blurry and ghosting UI animations.
Issues fixed
Lower performance and random performance drops after changing graphical settings
Performance can go lower than expected after changing graphical settings in the in-game menu.
Workaround: restart the game
Shader pre-compilation does not trigger when reinstalling same GPU driver version
After reinstallation of same GPU driver version, the game's shader cache will be deleted as intended, but the game does not trigger shader pre-compilation at boot after this. Leading to huge shader compilation related stutters during gameplay.
Install a newer GPU driver version to re-trigger shader pre-compilation.
Lower resolution texture used when using FSR or DLSS
When using either upscaling technique the game provides, the game uses lower resolution textures than compared to when using Native + TAA anti-aliasing option. This is not because of the upscaling, but likely due to the wrong texture mipmap being used by the game while upscaling is enabled, which should normally be biased to the output resolution of the upscaling options. There is no fix available for AMD and Intel GPU users.

Just an FYI…
EA Motive’s “general inquiry” email is:
[edit: email address removed]
Perhaps if enough people contact them directly, we will finally get a response/fix?
>UPDATE< They removed the email, but if you google EA Motive it will take you directly to their website, their contact info in at the bottom.

Are you enjoying your weekend, EA? I would be enjoying mine but you still haven't fixed this stutter...

It's getting really ridiculous that we haven't even been updated on an ETA for a fix, hell even a simple "Sorry, we're working on it" would be fine. But silence? That is not cool. We paid our £50 to support you, now support us. If this issue isn't fixed soon I will never buy anything from this team again.

i feel dumb for trusting in EA again

Can you guys try this if you are playing on PC.
Have no idea if anyone already wrote this in comments.
First go to %LOCALAPPDATA% \Electronic Arts\Dead Space\settings.txt.
Find Motion blur and set it to 0.

It solved issue for a lot of people on Steam.
No I do not watch Digital Foundry so cant say nothing.
But thing is minority have problems with a game... check it on Steam.
Game is a benchmark for sure for mid/high rigs.
Edit If you stutter in Jedi Fallen Order, then I have no idea what to say.
Wait for patch. King regards.
New name, new look, same great benefits: EA Access and Origin Access are now EA Play.
