Battalion-level leaders routinely fail to understand the tactical scheme of maneuver and, therefore, cannot develop a detailed concept of support.

It describes the intelligence scheme of maneuver, the Who, What, When, Where, How, and the Why.

Additionally, reduced force rehearsals and combined arms rehearsals on a terrain model ensured all elements understood the scheme of maneuver, were ready to execute the mission, and were prepared to respond to contingencies.

Through the initial stages of the military decisionmaking process with the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, the Lion team analyzed each phase of the armored brigade combat team scheme of maneuver and made recommendations to the commander regarding how to effectively task-organize the correct CBRNE defense force packages with each of the subordinate maneuver battalions.

This level of focus essentially required the CFACC to have a macroview of the ground scheme of maneuver. For instance, the combined force land component commander (CFACC) would develop battle plans that employed large ground forces, such as corps and divisions, moving against similar-sized enemy units.

Once all the smoke had cleared the fruits of our labor became clearly evident: the supply and logistical scheme of maneuver we developed had been expertly executed with more than 15,000 citizens evacuated and moved to neighboring countries or back to the U.S.

By applying the same IM and KM principles developed during the Fleet Readiness Training Plan workup cycle to the coalition arena, the HST Strike Group was able to effectively and efficiently relay the commander's intentions and scheme of maneuver to our coalition partners.

During the planning process, logisticians develop a concept of support that is based on the brigade's scheme of maneuver and integrate the combat service support (CSS) battlefield operating systems (BOS) to ensure that the concept of support meets the maneuver commander's intent.

This current model of providing sustainment through contract management from afar is suboptimal and does not lend itself to proactively supporting the customer unit's scheme of maneuver.

That element is responsible for deconflicting Shadow[R] unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight operations to support the scheme of maneuver. While supporting joint forcible-entry operations, traditional voice communications proved untimely and the brigade aviation element primarily leveraged the digital network because it allowed all airspace users, such as rotary-wing and close air support aircraft, to simultaneously receive information regarding airspace control measures.
