Installer test

With the 7.2 version of this little mod, which had already some new neat content, I am proud to announce its first installer version!

You won't need to install the UP, it's already included. In fact you only need a copy of the base game and let the installer do all the work.

I hope it works, if you have any issues, or you see any bugs, please report them so I may do further fixes ;)

Huge thanks to Avadonica who told me how to use Inno Setup and thanks to Psycho-A who made the the script I've adapted (and thanks also to the people who made this program in the first place).

How would you develop such thing? Weakness to cold iron can be applied as a weakness to some melee weapons, but with the Mytherceria discipline I have no ideas....

In any case it could be a neat addon to Antitribu since it has the other disciplines, maybe replacing the Samedi (since their appearance, not as ugly it's still something Masquerade-breaking)....

Could you replace the Brujah with the Lasombra from the antitribu mod?
I have been trying myself but I don't know what files need to be replaced. I basically wanna play the unofficial patch with Lasombra without the antitribu mod all in one.

No, I don't want to change clans on my mod.

You can achieve the result you want doing this:
1) copying from antitribu these folders into the UP folder:
/materials/models/character/pc_antitribu/male/lasombra/
/models/character/pc/male/lasombra/
2) renaming all the files in the second folder to match the files paths of the vanilla brujah:
/models/character/pc/male/brujah/armor0/brujah_male_armor_0.###
/models/character/pc/male/brujah/armor1/brujah_male_armor_1.###
/models/character/pc/male/brujah/armor2/brujah_male_armor_2.###
/models/character/pc/male/brujah/armor3/brujah_male_armor_3.###
(where .### refers to the four extentions of every model files, meaning .dx7_2bone.vtx, .dx80.vtx, .mdl and .phy)

It seems to be a little more complicted then that. I managed to change the character model, text, logo and whatnot... But I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the disciplines. I need to replace celerity and presence with dominate and obtenebration.

I thought you only wanted to change the player models. My bad :P

In any case, it will takes more than that to import a discipline like obtenebration.... You have to copy several files and edit many more.

At memory you'll need at least these files:
/scripts/640_hud.txt
/vdata/system/clandoc000.txt
/vdata/system/stats.txt
/vdata/system/strings.txt
/vdata/system/traiteffects000.txt
/particles/[many files]
/python/[a couple of files]
/sound/disciplines/[many files]
/vdata/signs/[many files]
/vdata/system/disciplinetgt_005.txt
/vdata/system/levelingtemplate_000.txt

Quick update, It's been a few days and I haven't succeeded after a dozen attemps. The antitribu mod itself is quite old with no updates and the non base game disciplines refuse to work. Some of the mod files just cause the game to crash lol.
I've momentarily given up. Now playing your Volgiree.
If you happen to add more clans in the future, I'd love to see Lasombra and other non Camarilla clans. I've tried using the mod editor myself but I cant make heads or tails of it lol :P

It's really a pain to put Antitribu to work.... I have installed the mod, then the hotfix DLLs and finally the latest UP (as a side install, I only needed the latest version of the Mod Loader) and it worked

And if you want to copy those files I've mentioned keep in mind only some parts of each files must be copied inside the patched ones. A long and tedious job :(

Thanks for playing with my mod, but I don't think I will add more clans or new content in the near future....

Yeah, Antitribu mod has a lot of annoying bugs, some of them are even game-breaking (because the mod has never been finished and even its latest official patch 1.1 didn't correct the most obvious bugs and errors). But it's a great mod nevertheless despite all of this (new content, actually implemented new disciplines, hard challenge, etc)! "It's really a pain to put Antitribu to work" - true, but nevertheless it's doable, if you have the skill and the patience to do it. A couple of years ago I've managed to patch it for my personal game using just a simple text editor (well, Notepad++ actually), so I'm sure everyone can do the same. Well, if you have some expirience in VtMB modding and are familiar with the structure of game folders and files (and their inner structure too), of course. Brains too, goddamn it, brains too. But it certainly will give you a lot of headache.

LordUra I'm really excited about your mod (Barabbah's addon) indeed, thanks a lot for your incredible and hard work! Hopefully in time you'll manage to implement really new disciplines created from scratch, new content, quests and reasonable challenge! Good luck to you with it!
