The Dawn of War: Strongholds mod unlocks all seven Dark Crusade and all nine Soulstorm campaign stronghold missions, allowing them to be played directly from the skirmish menu. Compatibility is included for all vanilla and most mod races, which means that the Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle can be used on the Dark Crusade missions, blue-on-blue match-ups are permitted, and support is included for the following mods:

  • Black Templars: Kaurava Crusade
  • Blood Angels
  • Chaos Daemons
  • Dark Angels
  • Emperor's Children
  • Harlequins - The Dance Macabre
  • Inquisition: Daemonhunt
  • Legion of the Damned

  • Praetorian Guard
  • RAGE: World Eaters Warband
  • Renegade Guard
  • Salamanders
  • Space Wolves
  • Steel Legion
  • Thousand Sons
  • Vostroyan Firstborn
  • Witch Hunters

Any other new race mods that are released will be added to this list. This should be a fairly easy process, as I have re-coded all the mission SCAR and NIS files to make it as simple as possible to add extra race compatibility.

Full instructions on how to get this mod set up correctly can be found in the readme file accompanying the most recent release version including a list of all required and optional mods with download links. I strongly advise that you check it out before you get started.

Why can I not use the Tyranids mod with this mod? Seems every other race has been included, all except Tyranids.

It's because the current publicly available version of the Tyranids mod doesn't work with Unification, which is a requirement for this mod. The next one will, but god knows when that'll finally be released.

That is REALLY disappointing. What is the reason for it not working? Any ways around it?

I used to be super big into the nids mod, was a tester and bug catcher YEARS ago. I linda fell off due to life getting busy. Do they have any new forums or anything?

No ways around it other than a new version of the Tyranids mod. It's mostly stuff to do with their unique Influence resource and their builder unit IIRC.

Yo emperor's children is broken; was on the DC ork stronghold and most of the hud was gone including the requsition count, builder build button and unit abilities in general, also it seemed like I couldn't use any abilities even with hotkeys

Can you nerf Nan Yanoi a bit? it took me 2 and half an hour to beat even on stardard because they keep spamming 100 Broadsides every 5 or 10 minutes.

Sure I can get them with scout snipers but whenever a pathfinder or vespid team come it back to square one again. I can't advance very far cause my stuffs keep dying before they can get in close. This isn't unbeatable but very frustrating.

Not sure how IG can beat this one since even with Earthshaker you can't kill them fast enough. Guardsmen are almost useless since these things get drones for escort.

Land of solitude play really nice now. Coastal Immosa however have insane flayed ones with 50k hp. I destroyed the Doomdays Monoloith but they are still alive at my base. Seems like a bug.

I'll have a look at Nan Yanoi and see about maybe toning it down a little.

I've got some fixes for Coastal Imossa in the next patch, including one for the Flayed Ones health bug.

Good to hear that. Your revised maps are great. Most of the changes are nice and only some map have problems.

I hope North Vandea will be the next one to get an overhauled treatment. It's kinda uninteresting and very easy to beat. The only good part is inside the fortress.

Why was the Stompa in Rockclaw removed?

I'm mostly just working on updates to get things ready for the upcoming version of Unification, so other than bugfixes there probably won't be any big changes to the missions for now.

I removed the Stompas because they were acting a little buggy. I'll hopefully restore them when I get the chance.
