Takeda Shingen, the Tiger of Kai
The year is 1568. In the far aftermath of the disastrous Onin War and the in-fighting of feuding clans across Japan, turmoil is rife and has turned the lands into bountiful prey for all rungs of society from the likes of Uesugi Kenshin right down to the masses. Common mobs have flocked to the banners of the Ikko-Ikki, a rebellious movement opposing the rule of daimyo. Yet in Owari, Oda Nobunaga marches on Kyoto, threatening the Shogunate and bringing the Ashikaga to its knees. From abroad the distant seas, the Portuguese nanban, barbarians from the west, have brought the spread of Christianity and new technologies from afar.
You have been thrown into the Sengoku Jidai, the Warring States era of Japan. In your hands lies the power to craft your own destiny. Whether you take up a sword or brush in hand, it is up to you to carve your own path in Japan's history and make a name for yourself, be that through cunning foxery or brute force.
The age of the Country at War beckons to you; will you answer her call?

Here's a video showcasing our post battle feature. In this feature you'll be able to enter the aftermath of large battles, and loot what was left over. Watch out for looters who will also be looting, and they might think you're an easy target. The bigger the battle, the more loot, as well as more looters. So be careful, get what you can and get out. Don't be greedy, you will get overwhelmed!

As the year steadily draws to a close, all of us on the Shokuhō Team are taking a moment to give you some news about the mod.
Haven't you ghosted a ton of projects already? Why would this one be different?
there actually is a playable For Rome version and most of its features are incorporated into Bellum Imperii, thats not what i call ghosting. A world of warlocks was never completed because it would be the biggest mod for warband that was ever made by far, no arrogance but because of the fact that it would be made out of 7 combined total conversion mods it would take years to produce, not something i planned to finish and dedicate myself to when bannerlord was announced. Also i graduated so got much more time at the moment, still i find this comment quite mean and harsh, we modders put our heart and soul into something to deliver for free, should be more appreciated.
mad fking man. I thought no one was actually gonna make a succesor to gekokujo
I honestly believe the bannerlord combat system lends itself way more for a samurai themed mod.
the mechanics for bladed weapons are nice in this game. spears just sucks and need more optimizing. in gekokujo spears were actually good and spear troops actually held their ground and did their job in group combat and vs cav charges
good formations of yari troops should absolutely destroy cavalry.
How i have planned it:
spear = ++ vs cav
spear = + vs light infantry
spear = + vs archers
spear = - vs naginata troops
spears = -- vs sword troops
is that in duel or group vs group combat? i feel like spear should still be stronger or hold their own againts sword troops. Considering they have the reach and the advantage of being in a group unless its a solo 1v1 spear vs sword where sword will win
A massive charge on a yari wall would ofcourse be stupid from any katana samurai, but the weight of the yari makes it easy for melee troups to flank them
true yes. i just assumed that from your post meant it means sword troops will beat spears in group vs group. but yeah. spears will get melted if they get flanked, they dont have shields then so yeah.
Excellent post. I can see your dedication. Good luck and if you need ppl to model towns and castles + villages i can be of some help
I always need them, i’m adding items into the game at the moment, but sceners will be really needed later on.
